Why Join?

The International Thespian Society is a worldwide theater theater honor society for high school students. A few famous ITS alumni include Tom Hanks, Val Kilmer, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Stephen Schwartz. Membership currently stands at approximately 100,000 student members across

4,700 schools. The one millionth Thespian was inducted in 1976 and the two millionth Thespian was inducted in 2009. As of 2018, there have been over 2.4 million Thespians inducted. It also looks great on a college application.

Who is eligible?

Any sophomore, junior or senior who has earned (min) 10 points toward membership.

What does it cost?

A one time 40$ fee. You will pay via My Payments Plus . Fee includes: induction fees, certificate, membership pin, subscription to the Thespian magazine, honor cords for graduation.

How do I become inducted?

We will have a special swearing in ceremony where you will be assigned a “big brother” or “big sister”. This happens at the ACT banquet on May 31st at Race Brook CC. Students must be present at banquet to be inducted.
